Terms & Conditions
Last updated 29 August 2026
These terms cover your use of BananaForms as a website owner. If you are a visitor who shared an email address, the Privacy Policy is the page you want.
1. What the service does
BananaForms provides a snippet you place on your website. It lets visitors share an email address with a single tap, using an address their browser already holds, and delivers those addresses to you. Addresses are held in a shared network so that a visitor already known to BananaForms can be recognised on another participating site.
2. Your account
- You sign in with an email address and a four-digit code. There is no password.
- You are responsible for who has access to that email inbox.
- You must give accurate information, including the domain you intend to use.
3. The free allowance
- The first 10,000 addresses are free on every domain you register.
- Counting is per registrable domain and per unique person. Subdomains
share one allowance —
go.example.comandshop.example.comboth count againstexample.com. - Repeat visits by the same person are not counted again.
- Past 10,000 we keep capturing addresses, so your list never silently breaks. What pauses is recognition of returning visitors, which upgrading restores.
- The free tier displays a small “powered by BananaForms” mark. The paid plan removes it.
4. What you agree to as an account holder
These are the obligations that make the network trustworthy. They are not negotiable, because the whole thing stops working if they are.
- Consent stays intact. You must not remove, hide, pre-empt, or misrepresent the consent shown to visitors, and you must not attempt to capture an address without it.
- Tell your visitors. Your own privacy notice must explain that email addresses are collected through BananaForms and may be used to recognise the visitor on other participating sites. You must link to a privacy policy on your own domain.
- Use addresses lawfully. Only send what the visitor agreed to receive, honour unsubscribes promptly, and comply with the marketing and data protection law that applies to you.
- Do not misuse the service — no attempts to extract addresses you did not collect, no automated enumeration, no reselling access, no circumventing the allowance by splitting one site across domains.
- Only your own sites. Install the snippet on domains you control.
5. Your data
Addresses collected on your sites are yours. You can export them at any time and ask us to delete them. We do not sell them, and we do not give one account holder access to another's list. Being in the network means a visitor can be recognised elsewhere — it does not mean your list is shared.
6. Payment
The paid plan is billed annually per domain. Fees are stated at the point of purchase. If you stop paying, the account reverts to the free tier — capture continues and the mark returns; your existing data is not deleted for non-payment.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the service running continuously but do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may change or discontinue features, and will give reasonable notice of changes that materially reduce what you rely on.
8. Suspension
We may suspend or close an account that breaches section 4, particularly where visitor consent has been interfered with. Where circumstances allow, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.
9. Liability
The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits or lost data. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and we will give notice of material changes. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the update.
